Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this heat shield for your Roadmaster Tow Defender protective screen. Now this screen is going to protect your Tow Defender screen from melting due to high exhaust temperatures. This is designed for RVs with the rear diesel exhaust, and this shield is going to safeguard your screen up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. This is going to be an easy install in the desired locations with the included heavy duty anchors. On the screen there, you can see an example of what this is going to look like installed on your Tow Defender screen.
You can see it there installed on the top right hand portion of that screen, there by the exhaust. So this is going to be a very simple install. You're just going to fold this over that portion of that Tow Defender screen and then use these anchors here. You'll just pull 'em apart and then run the anchors through the the holes here, and then you'll just secure it into place just like that. So very easy install.
And this screen is made here in the USA of aluminum laminated fiberglass. So this is going to resist solvents, acids, alkali. So it's gonna be very durable and it's going to hold up really well for you. And what I would like to do while we're here, just to give you some overall measurements, just so you have a good idea of the size. So looking at the overall length, hopefully you can see that there, we're sitting right at about 22 and three quarters inches long.
And then looking at the width, we're sitting right at about 13 and a half inches wide. And then instructions are also going to be included to guide you through that really simple installation. So if you are looking to protect your Tow Defender screen from melting due to high exhaust temperatures, this is going to be just what you need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Because of the exhaust tip location on my 2019 Dutch Star, this is a mandatory addition to the Tow Defender. Works great!
Works excellent on our Dutch Star.
What an improvement
It worked great.

Simple to install. Used an awl to make a hole through the shield - rubber mallet and block of wood to snap the pieces together.

Looks like a nice set up! This is a very simple part, but man can it make life easier! Where are you headed? That last picture you included doesn't look coastal, which is where a lot of people tend to go in the winter.
